Sywell Aerodrome is an airfield located in Northamptonshire dating back to 1928 with superb facilities and voted as AOA UK’s Best General Aviation Airport numerous times.
Sywell Aerodrome boasts an all-weather fully-lit concrete runway which works alongside the three original grass runways making it the perfect location to fly from all year round and at night. Cross winds are less of an issue with a variety of runway directions available.
From the unique Art Deco Aviator Hotel Bar and Restaurant, visitors have excellent views of the active runways and apron whilst enjoying the refreshments on offer.
Visitors can also look in the Sywell Aviation Museum which preserves aviation history in Northamptonshire. We highly recommend a visit!
Flight training has been conducted from Sywell Aerodrome since 1935 beginning with Brooklands Aviation Ltd.
Cabaero Aviation has been operating from Sywell Aerodrome offering fixed wing flight training, trial flights, and flying experiences since February 2025.
Fixed wing flight training includes UK Private Pilot Licence, Light Aeroplane Pilot Licence, Aerobatic Rating, and Night Rating.
Popular flying experiences include trial flying lessons and aerobatic experiences.
